Spencer Recovery Center saved my life. Seven years ago, I chose Spencer Recovery Center to help me overcome an addiction to Crystal Meth and other drugs. There were two major reasons for my choice to come to Spencer Recovery Center. The first and most important reason was the caring intake staff who seemed devoted to getting me help no matter where I decided to go for treatment. The second reason that helped me in choosing Spencer Recovery Center was the fact that Spencer worked with my insurance company so there was no cost to enter the facility.

Accreditation
Spencer Recovery Center has been accredited by the Joint Commission (formerly JCAHO) since 1989. The Joint Commission is a hospital-level quality and safety assurance standards accrediting body.
The Joint Commission conducts thorough routine evaluations of the facility to ensure that the programs, policies and procedures are set at the highest standards and that the staff of the facility is properly following the policies and procedures.

Financing and Scholarships
Spencer Recovery Center understands that the economy has made it difficult for clients to pay for substance abuse treatment. Spencer Recovery Center offers a financing program which, upon instant approval, could fund the treatment tuition cost at the facility. For people who are not able to receive a loan due to credit trouble, Spencer Recovery can make payment arrangements and treatment scholarships to help you in beginning your recovery (for qualified clientele).

Insurance Procedures
Spencer Recovery Center is a preferred provider for Anthem Blue Cross, Aetna, Magellan, Value Options, United Behavioral Health (UBH), Humana, Life Synch, Beech Street, Health One Alliant, and Cigna.
Spencer Recovery Center also accepts ALL other health insurance carriers and can utilize out-of-network benefits.

One-Year Boarding Program with Addictions Counselor Certification
Many clients entertain the idea of helping people in the future as a career. Spencer Recovery Center has a satellite program which allows clients to gain career skills and certification while residing in a structured sober environment and gaining the experience needed to qualify to become a certified addictions counselor.

Spencer Recovery Center saved my life. Seven years ago, I chose Spencer Recovery Center to help me overcome an addiction to Crystal Meth and other drugs. There were two major reasons for my choice to come to Spencer Recovery Center. The first and most important reason was the caring intake staff who seemed devoted to getting me help no matter where I decided to go for treatment. The second reason that helped me in choosing Spencer Recovery Center was the fact that Spencer worked with my insurance company so there was no cost to enter the rehab facility.
Entering the facility brought me instant hope and relief that I had made the right decision. It was clear that Spencer Recovery Center was a place with integrity. The staff experience combined with the quality of service made for a productive, healing, and successful rehab experience.
After completing the allotted amount of days that my insurance company would allow, I realized that Spencer Recovery was the first place that was actually making a significant improvement in my life. I did not want to leave. My counselor spoke to the owner of the facility and he graciously worked out an arrangement where I could receive a volunteer scholarship. I was able to complete three months of rehab treatment and begin working entry jobs for the program. This was a great way for me to give back, gain tools for self esteem and feel like I was making a safe transition back to a sober lifestyle.
Over the last seven years, Spencer Recovery has helped me move forward in my life. The treatment program supports a strong dedication to Twelve Step meetings and sobriety celebrations. This served as a great example and ultimately helped me to earn my Business Degree. I worked as an admissions coordinator and assisted on Spencer’s 24 hour helpline. I then earned a promotion to a supervisory role overseeing the admissions office. In 2007, I became the program administrator at Spencer Recovery Center. Today, I have an amazing life. I am able to be part of an organization that emphasizes QUALITY, ITEGRITY and CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENTS.
The reason that I share this story with you is that MY STORY IS NOT UNIQUE. Many people who have been through a Spencer Recovery Center facility share similar stories.
